Golf and Shooting Day proves a hit

01/06/2011

More than 50 Asset Based Lenders and Insolvency Practitioners congregated in Dorset for the inaugural Hilton-Baird Group Golf and Shooting Day, which saw some of the industry’s finest golfers and clay-pigeon shooters battle for the most prestigious of trophies.

With handicaps ranging from 4 to 28, the golfing talent on show ranged from the majestic to the downright ugly as Remedy Oak Golf Club played host to this fantastic event, with the 18th green – located in front of the clubhouse and beyond a 50-yard lake – testing the nerves of even the best golfers among us. And a short drive away, the horde of shooters spent the afternoon firing their shotguns at clay pigeons, with the sound rivalling the shouts of ‘fore’ emanating from the golf course...

As it was, Jason Zillwood of Credit Agricole Commercial Finance managed to scoop the golfing prize with a Stableford score of 37, with Hilton-Baird Financial Solutions’ very own Neil Galer claiming the shooting prize after hitting 32 clays out of 50.
