Team conquers Three Peaks Challenge

27/09/2012

The Hilton-Baird Group has raised more than £5,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support by successfully completing the brutal Three Peaks Challenge last weekend.

Ten members of the company took on the challenge, which involved climbing the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales inside 24 hours, after founder and director of the Hilton-Baird Group, Alan Baird, was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2011.

With Alan supporting the nine climbers by preparing food and driving between the three mountains, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon were summitted in a fantastic 24 hours 45 minutes.

Although the team narrowly missed out on the 24 hour window, it was still a superb achievement and one we hope will inspire others.

Thank you to everyone for their wonderful support throughout the training and the challenge itself. The money that has been raised will go a long way to improving the lives of so many living with cancer.
