1 man. 3 challenges. 17 kilometres. 1 mission.

21/05/2015

For the past few months our CEO, Alex Hilton-Baird, has been training hard in preparation for THREE physical challenges this year in a bid to raise money and awareness for three charities that we as a company care deeply about.

6am Saturday morning open water swims have become his norm, building on an intense winter training regime in the pool which saw him clock up serious mileage to prepare his body for what lies ahead.

Here's what's in store for our very own Iron Man in the coming months:

Great North Swim – 12th June

For the first of his challenges Alex completed the Great North Swim to raise money and support for Cancer Research UK, a charity which is committed to beating cancer once and for all. He completed the 5km course in just 1 hour 45 minutes.

Bournemouth Pier to Pier Swim – 12th July

Alex will then be joined by funding consultant and Hilton-Baird Financial Solutions' team leader, Andy Kelly, to tackle this challenging sea swim along the coastline from Bournemouth to Boscombe Pier. The 1.4 mile open water swim will see the duo brave Bournemouth Bay in a bid to help the British Heart Foundation, a charity which is close to Alex's heart.

Dart 10k – 5th September

And last but not least, to complete the hat-trick Alex will be participating in the Dart 10k - the aquatic equivalent of a marathon - to help raise awareness and money for Julia's House Children's Hospice, who provide wonderful support to life-limited children and their families.

Help Alex reach his goal...

We would thoroughly appreciate any support that you can give Alex to help him on his mission, whether that's by way of a donation or by sharing our Just Giving pages with colleagues, friends or family. Any support you can give, however large or small, will make a huge difference, and the Hilton-Baird Group will match any donations that are made.

Thank you so much for your support – we'll keep you posted on how he gets on!
